We are seeking a highly experienced and compassionate Registered Manager to oversee the daily operations of our care home specialising in senior care, including dementia and Alzheimer's care. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of nursing and assisted living services, and a dedication to providing exceptional standards of care. The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements, managing staff, and maintaining excellent relationships with residents and their families.
Duties
Oversee the day-to-day management of the care home, ensuring smooth operational functioning.
Develop, implement, and review personalised care plans tailored to individual residents' needs, including dementia and Alzheimer's care.
Supervise and support staff members, fostering a positive team environment through effective leadership and supervision.
Ensure medication administration is carried out accurately and in accordance with legal and organisational policies.
Maintain compliance with all relevant legislation, including CQC standards and health & safety regulations.
Monitor quality assurance processes to uphold high standards of care delivery.
Liaise with residents' families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies to coordinate comprehensive care services.
Organise staff training programmes to promote continuous professional development in areas such as dementia care and senior care best practices.
Manage budgets, staffing rotas, and resource allocation efficiently to meet organisational objectives.
Promote a caring environment that respects residents' dignity, independence, and individual preferences.
Qualifications
Proven experience in nursing or senior care settings, preferably within assisted living or nursing homes.
Demonstrable management and supervising experience within a care environment.
Strong knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, medication administration, and developing personalised care plans.
Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and develop teams effectively.
Relevant qualifications in health & social care or management (e.g., NVQ Level 5 in Leadership for Health & Social Care).
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in compliance documentation and regulatory requirements.
