We are seeking a passionate and dedicated

Registered Manager

to lead our Children's Home and ensure the delivery of high-quality care to the children we serve. As the Registered Manager, you will be responsible for creating a therapeutic environment that prioritizes the emotional, physical, and social well-being of the children in our care. You will oversee a committed team of staff, guiding them in implementing child-centred approaches that foster individual growth and development.

Key Responsibilities:



Lead and manage the daily operations of the children's home, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and safeguarding standards. Develop and implement personalised care plans that reflect the unique needs and experiences of each child, prioritising a therapeutic approach. Foster a culture of trauma-informed care, ensuring all staff members understand the impact of adverse childhood experiences and employ appropriate strategies to support children in healing. Supervise, support, and train staff to provide high-quality, child-centred care, facilitating regular team meetings and reflective practice sessions. Establish and maintain strong relationships with children, families, external stakeholders, and regulatory bodies, advocating for the needs and rights of the children in our care. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of care delivery, using feedback from children and team members to drive improvements and enhance service quality. Manage budgets, resources, and administrative tasks related to the home's operation, ensuring efficient service delivery while maintaining high standards of care. Promote a positive, inclusive, and safe environment where children feel valued, listened to, and empowered.

Qualifications and Skills:



Must hold a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare or be willing to enrol in the Level 5 qualification Must have a level 3 in Working with children and young people or equivalent qualification Proven experience in a senior role within a children's residential setting or similar environment. Strong understanding of child development, trauma-informed care, and therapeutic approaches in working with young people. Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team. Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to challenges. Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with children, families, and external professionals. Commitment to continuous professional development and improving practice in line with current best practices and statutory requirements.
