Overview


We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Registered Manager to lead a brand-new satellite site comprising four children's homes, situated on a private road in Wolverhampton. Collectively, the homes will provide care and support for up to six children with complex needs. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a new development, building a strong culture and ethos from the very beginning. We are also recruiting a Registered Individual and an entire new staff team to support the service.

Key Responsibilities



Register with Ofsted as the Registered Manager for the satellite site, ensuring full compliance with the Children's Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and the Quality Standards. Lead the set-up and opening of the new homes, embedding policies, procedures, and child-centred practice from day one. Recruit, train, and develop a new team of staff, creating a dedicated workforce with the skills, values, and resilience required for the role. Ensure the safeguarding, welfare, and development of all children within the homes, delivering high-quality personalised care plans and risk management. Work closely with the Registered Individual, Operations Director, and external professionals to establish effective multi-agency relationships. Manage staffing rotas and deployment across the four homes to ensure the needs of the children are met at all times. Provide visible, hands-on leadership and model best practice to staff teams. Lead on incident management, complaints, and safeguarding concerns, ensuring swift and effective resolution. Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation in line with Ofsted and organisational requirements. Drive continuous improvement across all four homes, ensuring the highest standards of care are delivered.

Person Specification



Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent). Significant experience as a Registered Manager in children's residential care, with a proven track record of success. Experience in setting up or developing new services would be highly advantageous. Excellent knowledge of safeguarding legislation, Ofsted standards, and children's home regulations. Strong leadership, motivational, and staff development skills. Flexible, resilient, and committed to working outside of standard hours where required. Confident communicator with the ability to build strong relationships with staff, children, families, and professionals. Passionate about creating a safe, nurturing, and positive environment for children.

Pay: 60,000.00-80,000.00 per year
