We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Manager to oversee the operations of our home care operations at Chari Life Ltd. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the overall management and leadership of the home care service at Chari Life Ltd, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and delivering high-quality care to our clients. This role involves managing staff, maintaining excellent service standards, and driving continuous improvement to achieve the company's goals and objectives.
The Service is registered with the Care Inspectorate under Care at Home. The post holder will be Registered Manager and will be registered appropriately with the SSSC and the Care Inspectorate, as such will be required to be aware of and meet their legal and contractual responsibilities accordingly.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure the service operates in accordance with Care Inspectorate regulations and standards.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation and best practices.
2. Service Management:
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the care at home service. Includes ensuring clients assessments are carried out properly and resources are allocated accordingly.
Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure effective service delivery.
Ensure rotas are published in a timely manner and staff are fully trained to perform their duties.
Monitor and review service performance, making adjustments as necessary to maintain high standards. Offering additional training, shadowing, spot checking and internal audits.
Source clients and manage stakeholder relationship with local councils
3. Staff Management:
Recruit, train, and supervise a team of care staff, ensuring they are motivated and supported.
Conduct regular staff appraisals, performance reviews, and provide ongoing training and development opportunities.
Address any staffing issues promptly and effectively.
4. Client Care:
Ensure clients receive person-centred care that meets their individual needs and preferences.
Conduct regular assessments and reviews of client care plans.
Foster positive relationships with clients and their families, addressing any concerns or complaints.
5. Financial Management:
Implement cost-saving measures where appropriate as directed by the Operations director and the board.
6. Quality Assurance:
The Registered Manager will have overall responsibility within the services for ensuring that there is fair and equal opportunity for all parties involved to contribute as appropriate to the evaluation of the service. Ensuring staff are involved in setting and achieving clear goals aimed at improving the service, and that reports outlining the performance of the service are made available to all stakeholders.
The Registered Manager will also through regular monitoring, quality assurance and auditing ensure that there are adequate and good standards of resources to meet service requirements at all times.
Person Specification:
Qualifications:
NVQ Level 5 in Leadership and Management for Health and Social Care or equivalent.
Registered with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC).
Experience:
Overall understanding of the regulatory requirements and quality and care standards
Significant experience in a managerial role within the home care or healthcare sector.
Proven track record of managing and improving care services.
Proven track record in client sourcing and relationship management with local councils.
Skills and Attributes:
Excellent leadership and people management skills.
Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and standards.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Other Requirements:
A valid UK driving license.
Ability to travel as required for the role.
Working Hours:
Full-time position, with flexibility to meet the needs of the service.
