The Role
As Registered Manager, you will take full responsibility for the leadership, management and development of the home. Your key responsibilities will include:
Leading, supervising and developing a dedicated staff team to create a nurturing, structured and safe environment.
Ensuring robust compliance with the Children's Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards.
Overseeing all safeguarding processes, risk assessments, behavioural support, and placement stability.
Managing referrals, impact assessments and admissions to ensure appropriate matching and positive outcomes.
Building strong partnerships with local authorities, health services, education providers and other external agencies.
Maintaining high standards of recording, auditing, quality assurance and preparation for Ofsted inspection.
Managing budgets, rotas, resources and operational systems effectively.
Embedding a therapeutic, child-centred culture that promotes the wellbeing, development and independence of young people.
About You
We are looking for an inspiring, confident leader who brings:
Experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager within children's residential services.
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or willingness to complete).
Excellent understanding of Ofsted expectations, safeguarding, trauma-informed practice and relational models of care.
Strong leadership skills, emotional resilience and the ability to guide a team through challenges.
A commitment to achieving positive outcomes for children and young people.
A full UK driving licence and flexibility to support the home as needed.
