Overview:



We are seeking a dedicated Registered Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our supported accommodation services for 16-17-year-olds in Nelson, Lancashire. This regional role requires ensuring full compliance with Ofsted's new regulatory framework for supported accommodation. The position encompasses safeguarding, service leadership, multi-agency collaboration, and staff management to foster a safe and empowering environment that promotes independent living skills and positive outcomes for young people.

Key Responsibilities:



Provide strategic leadership and operational management to ensure the smooth and efficient running of services across the region. Ensure full compliance with Ofsted supported accommodation regulations, "Working Together to Safeguard Children" guidance, and local authority safeguarding protocols. Promote a strength-based, trauma-informed approach to support the personal growth and independence of young people. Oversee staff training and continuous professional development, ensuring all learning is tracked and up to date. Foster a positive and inclusive team culture that reflects the organisation's values. Collaborate with internal and external multi-disciplinary teams and commissioning authorities to meet the emotional and physical needs of young people, planning for positive outcomes. Monitor and produce regular reports, evaluating the quality of care through audits and assessments. Manage the efficient allocation of staffing and resources to consistently meet the needs of young people.

Qualifications & Experience:



Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management in Health & Social Care (or equivalent), or a willingness to work towards this qualification. BA (Hons) in Social Work, Youth Work, Psychology, Housing, or a related field (desirable). Must meet Ofsted's fit person criteria to become a Registered Manager for Supported Accommodation. Minimum of 3 years' experience in a leadership role within supported accommodation, semi-independent living, or youth services. Strong understanding of Ofsted's new Supported Accommodation Regulations and local authority commissioning frameworks. Experience in safeguarding, risk management, and multi-agency collaboration. Proven experience supporting young people with complex needs, including those leaving care, at risk of homelessness, or experiencing trauma. Experience supporting care leavers, unaccompanied asylum-seeking children (UASC), or young people at risk of exploitation (desirable). Knowledge of Housing Legislation, the Homelessness Reduction Act, and the benefits system for 16-17-year-olds (desirable).

Strong leadership and staff management abilities. In-depth knowledge of safeguarding legislation and child protection procedures. Proven ability to manage Ofsted inspections and ensure full compliance. Skilled in conducting effective risk assessments and making informed decisions. Excellent problem-solving and crisis management skills. Effective communication and multi-agency collaboration capabilities. Commitment to promoting diversity, equality, and inclusion. Proficiency in IT systems, including Microsoft Office and care management databases. Strong understanding of regulatory requirements (Ofsted) and quality improvement processes.

Pay: 42,000.00-45,000.00 per year
