The Registered Care Manager Role



We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Care Manager to lead and oversee our care operations. You will be responsible for the safe and effective delivery of our services, managing a team of care professionals, and ensuring full compliance with CQC standards. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a solid background in care management, and a genuine commitment to excellence in care.

Key Responsibilities



Oversee the day-to-day management of care services, ensuring all clients receive high-quality, person-centred care. Lead, support, and mentor a team of care staff, including rota management, performance reviews, and ongoing training. Develop, implement, and review individualised care plans in collaboration with clients, families, and healthcare professionals. Conduct regular assessments and reviews to ensure care plans remain responsive and aligned with clients' needs. Ensure full compliance with CQC regulations, internal policies, and all statutory requirements. Respond promptly and effectively to client enquiries, concerns, and complaints. Manage service budgets, ensuring resources are used efficiently and responsibly. Maintain accurate, up-to-date records including care plans, risk assessments, staff files, rotas, and incident reports. Build and sustain strong relationships with clients, families, staff teams, commissioners, and external stakeholders.

Requirements



Proven experience as a Care Manager or in a similar leadership role within the health or social care sector. Full UK driving licence. Solid understanding of care regulations, sector standards, and best practice. Strong leadership, coaching, and people-management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a compassionate and empathetic approach. Ability to design, deliver, and monitor effective personalised care plans. Competent in managing budgets, staffing, and scheduling. Relevant qualifications, such as the Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care. Experience with CQC inspections and compliance processes is highly desirable.
