Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' mental health needs and develop individualised care plans. Administer medications and monitor patients for side effects or adverse reactions. Provide emotional support and counselling to patients, helping them cope with their conditions. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient care. Educate patients and their families about mental health disorders and treatment options. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in accordance with healthcare regulations. Participate in training and professional development activities to enhance nursing skills and knowledge.

Skills

Strong patient care skills, demonstrating empathy and understanding towards individuals experiencing mental health issues. Knowledge of anatomy and physiology as it relates to mental health conditions. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being able to work independently when required. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in managing patient records and care plans. Resilience and the ability to manage challenging situations calmly and effectively.

Pay: 22.00-24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 55 per week
