Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Mental Health Nurse to join our team. In this role, you will provide high-quality care to patients experiencing mental health challenges. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans while ensuring the safety and well-being of all patients.

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' mental health needs and develop individualised care plans. Administer medications and monitor patients for side effects and effectiveness. Provide emotional support and counselling to patients and their families. Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver integrated care. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards. Participate in therapeutic activities that promote recovery and well-being. Educate patients about their conditions, treatment options, and coping strategies. Ensure a safe environment for both patients and staff by adhering to health and safety regulations.

Requirements

Valid registration as a Mental Health Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC). Proven experience in patient care within a mental health setting is preferred. Strong knowledge of anatomy and mental health disorders. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to work effectively as part of a team as well as independently. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail. Empathy, patience, and the ability to handle challenging situations calmly.

Pay: 22.50-24.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 55 per week
