Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Mental Health Nurse to join our team. In this role, you will provide high-quality patient care to individuals experiencing mental health challenges. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans. Your expertise in mental health nursing will be crucial in promoting recovery and enhancing the well-being of our patients.

Duties

Conduct thorough assessments of patients' mental health needs and develop individualised care plans. Administer medications and monitor patients for side effects and effectiveness. Provide therapeutic support and counselling to patients and their families. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in accordance with legal and ethical standards. Educate patients about their conditions, treatment options, and coping strategies. Participate in regular team meetings and contribute to service development initiatives. Uphold the highest standards of patient confidentiality and dignity at all times.

Experience

A valid registration as a Mental Health Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC). Proven experience in a mental health setting is preferred but not essential; newly qualified nurses are encouraged to apply. Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology as it relates to mental health care. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build rapport with patients from diverse backgrounds.
