The Registered Mental Health Nurse plays a crucial role in providing compassionate and comprehensive care to individuals experiencing mental health challenges. This position involves assessing patients' needs, developing tailored care plans, and implementing therapeutic interventions. Duties
Conduct thorough assessments of patients to identify mental health needs and risks.
Develop, implement, and evaluate individualised care plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
Provide direct patient care, including administering medications and monitoring their effects.
Facilitate therapeutic group sessions and individual counselling to support emotional and psychological well-being.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with regulatory standards.
Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and coping strategies.
Participate in ongoing professional development to stay informed about best practices in mental health nursing.
Skills
Strong understanding of patient care principles, with a focus on empathy and active listening.
In-depth knowledge of anatomy and physiology as it relates to mental health conditions.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment while also demonstrating independence in decision-making.
Proficient in crisis intervention techniques and managing challenging behaviours with patience and professionalism.
Strong organisational skills to manage multiple priorities effectively while maintaining attention to detail. This role is essential for fostering a supportive environment where patients can thrive on their path to recovery.

Pay: 19.00-21.00 per hour
