Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Midwife to join our dedicated healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional care to expectant mothers throughout their pregnancy, labour, and postnatal period. This role requires strong communication skills, effective time management, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. As a Midwife, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the health and wellbeing of both mothers and their newborns.

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care to women and their families. Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical and emotional health. Develop individualised care plans in collaboration with patients and other healthcare professionals. Educate expectant mothers on pregnancy, childbirth, and newborn care. Monitor the progress of labour and assist with deliveries in various settings. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in accordance with healthcare regulations. Respond promptly to emergencies or complications during labour and delivery. Support breastfeeding initiation and provide guidance on infant feeding practices. Participate in continuous professional development to stay updated on best practices in midwifery.

Requirements

Registered Nurse (RN) qualification with a midwifery specialisation or equivalent certification. Strong IT skills for maintaining patient records and using healthcare software systems. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and colleagues. Proven time management abilities to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment. A compassionate approach towards patient care with a focus on promoting maternal health. Previous experience in midwifery or related fields is preferred but not essential.
