We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our dynamic healthcare team. Duties
Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and detailed medical histories.
Administer medications and injections accurately following prescribed protocols, including IV infusions and immunizations.
Operate EMR (Electronic Medical Record) systems such as Epic, Cerner, eClinicalWorks, or Athenahealth to document patient information meticulously.
Support complex procedures such as catheterizations, suturing, tube feeding, and sterile processing with aseptic technique.
Manage acute pain and chronic conditions through tailored nursing interventions and coordinate case management plans.
Conduct diagnostic evaluations including laboratory specimen collection, processing, and interpretation of results like ICD coding and ICD-10/ICD-9 coding standards.
Assist with specialized treatments such as botulinum toxin therapy for neurological or cosmetic purposes and esthetic laser treatments where applicable.
Provide patient education on health coaching topics like geriatrics, dementia care, Alzheimer's care, family planning, or nutrition.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by maintaining confidentiality of medical records and documentation.
Support emergency response efforts by managing airway management, ventilator support, basic life support (BLS), and responding effectively in urgent care or trauma situations at Level I or Level II trauma centers.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in hospital medicine, ICU (Intensive Care Unit), PICU (Pediatric ICU), neonatal units with neonatal ventilators, or hospice & palliative medicine settings.
Maintain infection control standards during procedures such as phlebotomy, specimen collection/processing, ostomy care, or sterile processing.
Participate in discharge planning and post-acute care coordination for patients transitioning to home or community-based services.
Experience
Proven experience working in diverse healthcare environments including hospitals (emergency room experience preferred), nursing homes, assisted living facilities, outpatient clinics or urgent care centers.
Critical care experience in ICU or trauma medicine settings is highly desirable.
Demonstrated proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner is essential for accurate documentation and patient tracking.
Experience administering injections, IV insertion/infusion therapy, and performing physical examinations with a strong understanding of anatomy and physiology.
Background in medical-surgical nursing along with familiarity with ICD coding standards (ICD-10/ICD-9) for accurate recordkeeping.
Knowledge of infectious disease care protocols and infection control practices across various clinical scenarios.
Prior work supporting patients with developmental disabilities or behavioral health needs is advantageous.
Experience managing complex cases involving pain management strategies or working within a family-centered approach is valued.
