Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RGN) to join our dedicated care team at Berwood Court Care Home. In this role, you will provide high-quality nursing care to our elderly residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and mental well-being is maintained. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver individualized care plans and contribute to the overall comfort and safety of our residents.

Key Responsibilities:



Deliver direct nursing care to residents, including administering medications, performing assessments, and managing chronic conditions. Monitor and assess residents' physical and mental health, promptly identifying changes in their condition. Develop and update care plans in collaboration with residents, families, and the multidisciplinary team. Provide leadership and guidance to care assistants and other support staff, ensuring the highest standard of care. Document and maintain accurate health records in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. Advocate for residents' rights, ensuring dignity, respect, and privacy at all times. Offer emotional support and education to residents and their families regarding care and treatment options. Assist in training and mentoring junior staff and new nurses. Maintain infection control protocols and ensure a clean and safe environment for both residents and staff. Participate in regular team meetings, care reviews, and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications & Requirements:



Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid nursing license. Minimum [insert years] of clinical experience, preferably in a care home or elderly care setting. Strong knowledge of nursing principles, healthcare practices, and infection control procedures. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with elderly residents and their families. Ability to assess, plan, and implement nursing care. Flexibility to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
