Job Description

The Inpatient Unit at Arthur Rank Hospice has 23 beds that provide expert care to patients with complex and end of life care needs. We are holistic in our approach and the care is tailored to each persons specific needs. The compassionate team of Nurses and Healthcare Assistants provide practical and holistic care supporting patients and their families. As a Registered Nurse you will work as part of a friendly and passionate multi-disciplinary team of specialists, led by a Ward Manager withinour hospice in Cambridge.



We can accept applications for either part time or full time(up to 34.5 per week) and are happy to discuss working hours at interview. Our Nurses provide professional, patient centred palliative care, ensuring the highest possible standards of care are received by patients, their families and carers. You will lead, support and encourage the sharing of knowledge and skills within the team. Staff within our in-patient unit work an internal shift pattern which includes earlies, lates, long days, nights and weekends.Shift times are: Early: 07:30 15:30; Late: 13:30 21:30; Night: 19:30 08:00; Long Days: 07:30 20:00.



Successful candidates will be NMC Registered Nurse (Adult) with post registration experience in palliative care or in community, be able to work as part of a team and have excellent communication and leadership skills. Starting salary of 31,049 with opportunities to progress to 37,796 This role is subject to an Enhanced Level DBS Checks with Children's and Adult's Barred Lists included. Please note that the salary quoted is based on full time hours and needs to be pro-ratad for part time posts.
