Overview


We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in various clinical settings, including acute care, ICU, emergency medicine, geriatrics, and long-term care. Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, and Athenahealth is essential. This role involves providing comprehensive patient care across diverse medical disciplines, ensuring adherence to HIPAA and infection control standards, and supporting patient education and discharge planning. Experience with specialized treatments such as botulinum toxin injections, ostomy care, dermal fillers, and esthetic laser treatments is a plus. The Registered Nurse will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality healthcare services in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities



Conduct thorough patient assessments including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history review Administer medications and injections accurately following aseptic techniques and medication protocols Perform advanced procedures such as IV infusions, catheterizations, suturing, tube feeding, and wound care Manage airway through ventilator support and perform emergency interventions including airway management and acute pain management Document all patient interactions meticulously within EMR/EHR systems like Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth Coordinate diagnostic evaluations including laboratory tests, sonography, mammography, and medical imaging procedures Provide specialized care for diverse populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, neonatal patients, individuals with developmental disabilities or dementia Support discharge planning and case management to ensure seamless transition of care across settings such as hospital to home or long-term care facilities Maintain infection control standards and sterile processing protocols in accordance with hospital policies Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals in trauma centers (Level I & II), surgical units, outpatient clinics, or hospice settings Educate patients on health coaching topics including nutrition, family planning, pain management, and disease prevention

Qualifications



Valid RN license in the state of practice with current BLS certification; ACLS certification preferred for ICU/trauma roles Proven experience in hospital medicine, emergency room (ER), ICU/CCU/PICU units or post-acute care environments such as nursing homes or assisted living facilities Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems including Epic, Cerner, eClinicalWorks; experience with ICD coding (ICD-9/10), CPT coding is advantageous Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, pharmacology, and medical terminology necessary for accurate patient assessment and diagnostic evaluation Ability to perform complex procedures such as spinal taps, gastrostomy tube placement/management, ostomy care & wound management Experience working with diverse patient populations including children (neonatal ventilator), elderly (memory/dementia care), or individuals with disabilities or infectious diseases Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams and educate patients effectively Ability to work in high-pressure environments such as trauma centers or urgent care settings while maintaining compassionate patient-centered care
