Full time position available for Registered Nurse (RGN) on days

To provide and be physically involved in the nursing care of the clients and meet all individual needs, either personally or through delegation.

In the absence of the care home manager, take full responsibility for the smooth running of a 46 bed dual registered homes for elderly people, some with complex medical conditions.

Ability to set and maintain high standards of nursing care ensuring care plan and risk assessments are completed, followed, reviewed and updated monthly.

Ability to supervise and appraise junior staff.

Administer prescribed medication through a variety of routes and perform clinical observations interpreting and acting upon the results.

To liaise and work with all members of the multidisciplinary team, both internal and external including facilitating GP rounds/acute visits and dealing with emergency services as necessary.

To develop ongoing relationships with the clients (and relatives) in order to support their emotional, psychological and spiritual needs.

To constantly strive towards improving self, standards and working environment by attending team meetings and participating in training, maintaining a high standard of professionalism.

Shift time 7am - 7.30pm & 8.30am - 9pm (12.5hour shifts)
