We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong clinical background and demonstrate exceptional patient care skills. This role requires the ability to work in various settings, including hospitals, outpatient clinics, and long-term care facilities. The Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients while adhering to established protocols and standards.
Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
Monitor patient vital signs and report any significant changes to the healthcare team.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and discharge planning.
Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding health management.
Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Assist with procedures such as IV insertion, catheterization, and wound care.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to NCQA standards.
Utilize EMR/EHR systems for effective patient record management.
Provide support in specialized areas including critical care, pediatrics, geriatrics, and hospice & palliative medicine.
Requirements
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
Experience in acute care settings such as hospitals or emergency rooms preferred.
Proficiency in using EMR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner) for documentation and patient management.
Familiarity with medical terminology, ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), and CPT coding is advantageous.
Strong clinical skills including IV infusion, medication administration, phlebotomy, and basic life support certification.
Experience working with diverse populations including those with developmental disabilities or chronic conditions.
Knowledge of infection control practices and aseptic techniques is essential.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.
Previous experience in specialized fields such as ophthalmology, trauma medicine, or behavioral health is a plus.
