Job Description

Registered Nurse Job Duties:

Staff Nurse required to work with Home Manager: identify resident care requirements by establishing personal rapport with potential and actual residents and other persons able to understand care requirements using a person-centred approach to care planning.

Establish a compassionate environment by providing emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to residents, friends, and families.

Empower residents to maintain self care skills and establishes resident care goals with realistic achievable outcomes.

Assure quality of care by adhering to therapeutic standards; measuring health outcomes against resident care goals and standards; making or recommending necessary adjustments; following the company's philosophy and standards of care set by regulatory bodies.

Resolve resident problems and needs by utilising multidisciplinary team strategies.

Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, policies, and regulations; calling for assistance from care staff.

Protects residents and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols, medication administration and storage procedures, and controlled substance regulations.

Document resident care delivery by appropriate record keeping.

Maintain continuity among care team by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.

Maintain resident confidence and protect the home by keeping information confidential in accordance with data protection legislation and guidance.

Ensure safe operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; maintaining equipment inventories.

Maintain clinical supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies.

Maintain professional and technical knowledge and ensuring personal development by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks.

Maintains a cooperative relationship with internal and external stakeholders, by communicating information; responding to requests; building rapport; participating in team problem-solving methods.

Requirements:
- Valid registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC)
- Proven experience in patient care within a healthcare setting
- Sound knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology
- Competence in medication administration and dosage calculation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of care
