Moorland opened in December 2023 after being taken over by a small family run business with over 20 years experience in providing exceptionally standards of care for people with Mental Health and Complex needs. There was some significant investment made to make changes to the building and layout which positively impacts the environment to live and work in.
Moorland provides nursing care for adults over the age of 18 years who may have a mental health disorder or learning disability, alongside complex physical needs.

Experience:
Registered Mental Health or Learning Disability Nurse with at least one year post registration experience.
Registered General Nurse with experience of working with those with mental health difficulties or learning disabilities.
Responsibilities:
Plan the delivery of Service Users care and take responsibility for implementing and evaluating that care, using an appropriate nursing model.
To provide advice and education to Service Users, staff and learners as required.
Ability to prioritise own workload and of those working with them such as learners and Health and Well Being Support Workers. When in charge know how to delegate in order to ensure the smooth running of the home.
Provide comprehensive care to Service Users, including medication administration, wound care, and health monitoring.
*Deliver therapeutic care and interventions for Service Users with conditions of mental health illness.
Respond to mental health crises, de-escalate situations, and administer immediate care in emergencies.
Work closely with external professionals.
Maintain accurate Service Users records, documenting changes in mental and physical health, and report concerns to the management team.
Advocate for Service User's needs, ensuring their voices are heard and their rights are respected.
Educate Service Users and their families about mental health conditions, treatments, and self-care strategies
To know how to deal with people with challenging behavior and know when to raise the alarm.
The position requires a level of flexibility, and a requirement to work days, nights, weekends and bank holidays.
