We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive clinical experience across various specialties, including critical care, emergency medicine, geriatrics, pediatrics, and outpatient settings. The Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, performing assessments, administering medications and treatments, and ensuring compliance with healthcare standards such as HIPAA and NCQA. Experience with EMR/EHR systems like Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks is highly desirable. Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments including vital signs, physical examinations, and physiological evaluations.
Administer medications and injections accurately following aseptic techniques and medication protocols.
Manage airway care, ventilator support, IV infusions, catheterization, tube feeding, and ostomy care as needed.
Perform diagnostic evaluations such as laboratory specimen collection/processing, sonography, mammography, and other medical imaging procedures.
Document all patient interactions thoroughly in medical records using EMR/EHR systems like Epic or Cerner.
Provide specialized care in areas such as ICU, trauma medicine (Level I & II Trauma Centers), post-acute care, hospice & palliative medicine, Alzheimer's/dementia care, memory care, and behavioral health.
Coordinate discharge planning and case management to ensure seamless patient transitions across settings including home & community care or skilled nursing facilities.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in various environments such as hospitals (teaching hospitals preferred), outpatient clinics, urgent care centers, assisted living facilities, or long-term care settings.
Maintain infection control standards and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy.
Educate patients and families on health coaching topics including nutrition, family planning, pain management, and working with people with disabilities or developmental delays.
Requirements
Valid Registered Nurse license with current state licensure.
Extensive clinical experience in diverse settings such as ICU (including PICU), emergency room/urgent care, medical-surgical units, geriatrics (including nursing homes and assisted living), pediatrics (including neonatal ventilator management), or home & community health.
Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth or eClinicalWorks is preferred.
Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy & physiology, ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), CPT coding, and diagnostic evaluation techniques.
Experience administering injections and IV insertion; familiarity with ventilator management and sterile processing is advantageous.
Ability to perform physical examinations and vital signs assessment accurately.
Knowledge of infection control practices and aseptic techniques essential for safe patient care delivery.
Excellent communication skills to work effectively with patients of all ages--including children--and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
Ability to work independently while maintaining a collaborative approach within a fast-paced environment.
