Job Description

To provide nursing and residential care to elderly residents in a care home. A clean NMC Pin and enhanced DBS mandatory and experience would be desired. The nurses are required to provide nursing and personal care services to residents to achieve outstanding outcome for residents. We need candidates with a passion for care, empathy, commitment and above all to work as part of a team. We need candidates who exhibit and possess positive attitude for care of the elderly.

Responsibilities

The post holder will work as part of a team to provide a safe, effective, efficient care environment for users, relatives and carers

Adhere to the NMC code of practice at all times

Assessment of residents' needs, creating and implementing of care plans;

Maintains accurate, contemporaneous and legible written records of care

Leading a team to ensure the highest possible standards of care;

Uses effective communication, written and verbal with all levels of staff including the multidisciplinary team, residents and relatives.

Maintaining accurate documentation and resident records;

Oversee all aspects of medicine management on your shift in accordance with company policies and current legislation;

Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory and best practice guidelines - identify, investigate and resolve risks proactively;

Support, guide, teach and mentor others in line with the NMC code, following its guidance at all times.

Undertake training both e-learning and face to face and ensure that their medication competencies are assessed periodically and they are up to date on moving and handling, catheter, venipuncture and other competencies as required.
