We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at The Beeches Nursing Home. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in assessing patient needs, implementing care plans, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal health outcomes.
The Beeches Nursing Home specialises in palliative and end of life care and is accredited by The Gold Standards Framework for end-of-life care.
Duties
Conduct thorough assessments of patients' health status and medical histories.
Develop, implement, and evaluate individualised care plans based on patient needs.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
Monitor patients' vital signs and report any significant changes to the medical team.
Educate patients and their families about health conditions, treatment options, and self-care strategies.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care and support for patients.
Participate in ongoing professional development and training to enhance nursing skills.
Skills
Strong knowledge of patient care principles and practices.
Proficient understanding of human anatomy and physiology.
Competence in medication administration, including knowledge of pharmacology.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in managing multiple tasks effectively.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also demonstrating initiative when required.
