Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive clinical experience across various specialties, including critical care, emergency medicine, geriatrics, pediatrics, and outpatient settings. This role involves providing comprehensive patient care, performing assessments, administering treatments, and ensuring compliance with healthcare standards such as HIPAA and NCQA. Experience with EMR/EHR systems like Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks is highly desirable. The Registered Nurse will play a vital role in delivering exceptional care across diverse medical environments, including hospitals, outpatient clinics, long-term care facilities, and home health settings.

Duties

Conduct thorough patient assessments including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history documentation. Administer medications and injections accurately following prescribed protocols. Perform specialized procedures such as IV infusion, phlebotomy, suturing, catheterization (urinary and vascular), ostomy care, and wound management. Manage airway techniques including ventilator support and oxygen therapy. Coordinate diagnostic evaluations such as laboratory testing, imaging (sonography, mammography), and spinal taps. Provide acute pain management and participate in trauma medicine within Level I/II trauma centers or emergency rooms. Assist with complex procedures like cardiac catheterization and dialysis treatments. Document all patient interactions thoroughly in electronic health records systems like Epic or Cerner while maintaining HIPAA compliance. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop discharge plans and coordinate post-acute or home care services. Educate patients and families on health coaching, medication administration, nutrition, disease management (including infectious diseases), and end-of-life care such as hospice & palliative medicine. Ensure infection control practices are rigorously followed to prevent healthcare-associated infections. Maintain sterile technique during procedures in surgical or procedural areas such as outpatient clinics or operating rooms. Participate in case management activities for patients with complex needs including behavioral health, dementia/dementia care (Alzheimer's), memory care, or working with people with disabilities.

Qualifications

Valid RN license in the state of practice with current certification. Proven experience in multiple clinical areas including ICU/critical care transport, emergency room (ER) experience, medical-surgical units, pediatrics (including neonatal ventilator management), geriatrics (long-term care & assisted living), or outpatient clinics. Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks preferred. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy & physiology, CPT/ICD coding (ICD-9/10), and diagnostic evaluation techniques. Ability to perform complex procedures such as tube feeding management, sterile processing techniques, gastrostomy care, spinal taps, and ventilator management. Excellent patient assessment skills along with critical thinking abilities for triage and acute pain management scenarios. Experience working with diverse populations including children (pediatric & neonatal), elderly patients in memory or dementia care settings, or individuals with developmental disabilities. Knowledge of Workers' Compensation law applicable to occupational health cases is a plus. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required; additional certifications such as ACLS or PALS are advantageous. Pay: 42.78-51.52 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
