Role Overview



We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Registered Nurse to join our dedicated team at PROMIS London Kendrick Mews. Located in the heart of West London, PROMIS London is a modern, private mental health clinic providing a discreet and supportive setting for clients experiencing a range of difficulties, from substance misuse and behavioural disorders to anxiety, depression, and related mental health concerns.

As a Registered Nurse at PROMIS, you will play a key role in:

Delivering high-quality, person-centred nursing care to clients in line with clinical and regulatory standards. Supporting clients throughout their treatment journey, from admission and detoxification through to ongoing therapy and aftercare. Working closely with a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, therapists, and support staff to ensure safe, effective, and compassionate care. Helping to create a positive, recovery-focused environment where clients feel respected, supported, and empowered. Participating in ongoing professional development and reflective practice within a collaborative and supportive workplace culture.

Responsibilities:



Work as part of a dynamic multidisciplinary team providing up-to-date medical and psychosocial interventions tailored to each client's needs. Conduct assessments and admit clients. Administer medication and carry out physical monitoring of clients as necessary. Complete daily observations and notes. Agree and prepare care plans. Collaborate with experienced therapists, doctors, and psychiatrists to support clients through early recovery and beyond.

The ideal candidate for this nurse position must demonstrate competence in a diverse range of areas critical to patient care, including:

Substance Misuse:

Proficiency in understanding and managing issues related to substance abuse and addiction is essential for providing comprehensive care to patients struggling with these challenges.

Alcohol and Drug Detoxification:

Competency in facilitating detoxification processes for individuals grappling with alcohol and drug dependencies is crucial for ensuring their safety and well-being during withdrawal.

Addiction:

A thorough understanding of addiction dynamics and evidence-based interventions is necessary to support patients in overcoming addictive behaviours and achieving recovery.

Mental Health:

Competence in assessing, understanding, and addressing mental health issues is indispensable for providing holistic care to patients dealing with both physical and psychological challenges.

Eating Disorders:

Proficiency in recognising and managing eating disorders is vital for addressing the complex physical and psychological aspects of these conditions and facilitating recovery.

Health Promotion:

Ability to promote health and prevent illness through education, counselling, and advocacy is key to empowering patients to make informed decisions about their well-being.

Technical Skills:


Additionally, the candidate should possess technical skills including:

Interpretation of Electrocardiograms (ECGs) Venipuncture for blood collection Administration of Intramuscular (IM) and Subcutaneous injections Competency in utilising IT tools for documentation and communication

Additional Requirements:


Furthermore, the candidate must have the ability to:

Recognise signs of patient deterioration and promptly escalate and intervene as necessary. Work autonomously as the sole nurse on shift, providing guidance and support within a multidisciplinary team setting.
These competencies collectively ensure the nurse's capability to deliver high-quality care, manage diverse patient needs, and collaborate effectively within the healthcare team.

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: 20.84 per hour

Expected hours: 12 - 24 per week
