Job Overview

We are currently seeking experienced and compassionate

Surgical Nurses

to work across

Private Hospitals and NHS Trusts

throughout the UK. This role offers flexible working opportunities in a range of surgical settings, supporting high-quality patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver safe, effective, and patient-centered nursing care within surgical wards and theatres Assist with pre-operative assessments and preparation of patients Provide post-operative care, monitoring recovery and managing pain and wounds Work collaboratively with surgeons, anaesthetists, and multidisciplinary teams Maintain accurate clinical records in line with NHS and private hospital standards Adhere to infection control, safeguarding, and health & safety policies Support patients and families with information, reassurance, and discharge planning Escalate concerns appropriately to senior staff

Requirements

Registered Nurse (Adult) with

valid NMC registration

Minimum

6-12 months recent surgical nursing experience within the UK

Experience within

NHS or UK private hospital settings

(essential) Strong clinical, communication, and organisational skills Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team Up-to-date mandatory training (or willingness to complete) Right to work in the UK (No sponsorship available)

Desirable Skills & Experience

Experience in theatres, recovery, or specialist surgical wards Knowledge of NHS policies and clinical governance standards Flexibility to work day, night, and weekend shifts

Pay: 20.34-31.43 per hour
