More detail about the role Lynton Integrated Community Nursing Team is a small team in an isolated rural area covering a population of under 4000 patients. Great opportunity for an experienced or a newly qualified Registered Nurse looking to gain wide community experience. You will be providing nursing care for palliative and end of life patients, domiciliary and ambulatory wound care, catheters, leg ulcer care and minor injuries.
The role involves autonomous, lone working, using assessment skills to plan, implement and evaluate programmes of care for individual patients. You will work as part of a team, liaising with other professionals such as Specialist Hospice Nurse, Social workers, GP, Podiatry and Tissue Viability. We run our own well-leg/leg ulcer service, creating development opportunities for staff in leg ulcer treatment. You will develop skills in structured clinical assessment when treating minor injuries and there will be an expectation to undertake the Minor injury and assessment University module.
Please ensure that you have a full driving licence if applying for this position. Working Pattern: 37.5 hours per week 9-5 or 8-6, including some weekends and bank holidays. Various hours will be considered. Interview Date: To be confirmed.
