Night Nurse

Job Overview:
As a
Registered Night Nurse
, you will work closely with the management team and lead our care staff in delivering high-quality care during night shifts. You will uphold professional standards, support care planning, and ensure that residents receive the best care possible.
Positively support the Management team by providing clinical leadership to care staff.
Ensure residents' wishes and preferences are at the heart of all care delivery.
Undertake and update person-centred care plans, adapting to physical, psychological, and social needs.
Work in partnership with residents, families, and the multidisciplinary team in planning care.
Safely manage and administer medications in line with NMC guidelines and legal requirements.
Safeguard the welfare of residents and promote a safe and supportive environment.
Implement holistic care programmes and regularly review client progress.
Motivate and support residents in achieving personal goals through a multidisciplinary approach.
Provide hands-on clinical care and maintain high standards of daily living activities.
Maintain accurate nurse and carer records during shifts.
Attend MDT meetings and contribute reports where required.
Identify training needs and support care assistant development.
Supervise and guide junior staff, acting as a clinical role model.
Promote independence, dignity, privacy, and quality of life for all residents.
Ensure all documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and supports care planning.
Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organised environment for residents.
Encourage family and advocate involvement in care planning and feedback.
Attend staff meetings, reviews, and ensure continuity in service delivery.
Maintain NMC registration and fulfil all revalidation requirements.
About You:
Registered Nurse with a valid
NMC PIN (RGN or RMN)
Sound knowledge of NMC Code of Practice and CQC regulations
Experience in a care home or similar setting is preferred
Ability to lead, supervise and support a care team overnight
Strong communication, planning, and clinical skills
Reliable, flexible, and committed to delivering high-quality care
