Job Description

Working on an Elective Orthopaedic ward and being part of a Pre-Assessment team helps to transform lives. It is an area of nursing where you can make an invaluable contribution by supporting patients to regain their mobility, and to resume their normal daily activities as quickly as possible.



We are a friendly welcoming and supportive team where there is the opportunity to gain leadership and management skills along the way .



We are looking for an enthusiastic, caring and passionate nurse with an interest in providing exceptional care to patients on our orthopaedic ward. We welcome applications from experienced Nurses, those returning to practice and Nurses who are starting their NHS career.

Interviews for this position will be held in person ONLY at Bridlington site. Remote interviews will not be available. Maintain a high standard of patient focused care in accordance with York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust policies and procedures

Maintain a safe and clean working environment

Provide assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care for patients, ensuring accurate written records are kept.

Communicate with patients and carers to ensure they have access to appropriate information.

Promote and maintain positive relationships between all staff involved in the care of the patient

Act in accordance with the Nursing and Midwifery Council Code of Conduct

Undertake duties on different wards/departments as and when required by service demands

Demonstrate personal responsibility for compliance with infection control policies and procedures
