Are you a dedicated Registered Nurse (RGN) with a passion for delivering exceptional elderly care? Our reputable care home in Penzance is seeking a compassionate and skilled RGN, RMN, or RNLD to join our dedicated clinical team on a full-time night shift basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity to take a leading role in providing high-quality healthcare within our nursing home, ensuring the well-being and dignity of our residents. You will work autonomously during night shifts and collaboratively with our Deputy Manager and care team.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide outstanding, person-centred nursing care to our elderly residents.
Conduct thorough medication rounds*, ensuring the safe administration and management of medicines.

Work without supervision during night shifts, using your initiative and clinical expertise to manage resident needs.
Develop, implement, and evaluate individualised care plans.
Supervise and support HealthcareAssistants and other members of the care team.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records in line with NMCstandards.
Work in partnership with the Deputy Manager, Clinical Lead*, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure the highest standards of care.

Uphold all policies and procedures, including infection control and health and safety protocols.
Essential Requirements:

Valid NMC Pin as a Registered Nurse (RGN). (Applications from RMN or RNLDnurses will also be considered).
A minimum of three years' post-qualification experience as a Staff Nurse or RGN*.

Proven nursing home experience within elderly care*.

Confident and competent in leading medication rounds*.

Ability to work without supervisionand demonstrate strong clinical decision-making skills.
A genuine passion for working in a care home environment and providing dignified elderly care*.

Desirable Skills:

Experience as a Senior Staff Nurse, Clinical Lead, or Peripatetic Nurse*.

Strong leadership qualities and the ability to mentor others.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
