Introduction

We are recruiting for a compassionate and clinically confident Registered Nurse to join a well-established nursing home in Plymouth, Devon. This is a full-time, permanent day shift role, ideal for a Registered Nurse (RGN / RMN / RNLD) who is passionate about delivering high-quality, person-centred care within a supportive and well-led care environment.

The Role

As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care to residents with a range of physical health, dementia, and age-related needs. You will play a key role in clinical decision-making, care planning, and supporting care teams to maintain excellent standards of care and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver high-quality, person-centred nursing care in line with best clinical practice Administer medications safely and maintain accurate clinical documentation Complete nursing assessments, care plans, and risk assessments Monitor residents' physical and mental health, responding appropriately to changes Lead and support care staff on shift, providing guidance and clinical oversight Maintain compliance with CQC standards, policies, and procedures Communicate effectively with residents, families, GPs, and external healthcare professionals

Requirements:

Valid NMC registration as a Registered Nurse (RGN / RMN / RNLD) Previous experience within a nursing home, residential care, or similar setting Strong clinical knowledge and confident decision-making skills Excellent communication, organisation, and teamwork abilities A caring, professional approach with a genuine commitment to elderly care Ability to work day shifts on a full-time basis
