Responsibilities
Conduct thorough assessments of patients' health status and needs.
Develop, implement, and evaluate individualised care plans based on patient assessments.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes in condition to the appropriate medical staff.
Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding health management and treatment options.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
Uphold infection control protocols and maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
Qualifications
Valid registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) as a Registered Nurse.
Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology related to medication administration.
Proven experience in patient care within a clinical setting is preferred but not essential for newly qualified nurses.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with patients and their families.
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in documentation and care delivery.
Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
