Title: Rapid Response Service Registered Nurse

Salary: Marie Curie Clinical Pay Scale, aligned with AFC Band 5 \xc2\xa328,407 - \xc2\xa334,581 pro rata per annum (depending on experience) Plus Generous Enhancement

Hours: 37.5 Hours per week (full-time)

Location: Durham

The service works in collaboration with other providers of end of life care in the community.

Pool cars are provided.

Enhancements paid, on hours worked after 9pm up to 7am daily and 24 hours on Sunday and Bank Holiday.

We are A 24 Hours, 7 Days a week Service.

Shift times are (7am-3pm), late shifts are 2:30pm-10:30pm, nights are 10pm-7:30am.

Rota to cover 24 hours at weekends and Bank Holidays.

The service covers the whole of Durham.

What we are looking for:

  • The Marie Curie Registered Nurse will work alongside a Health Care Assistant in the delivery of the service, at the same time as one other R.R.S teams, out in the community, covering the county.
  • The Registered nurse reports to and will have the support of the Clinical Nurse Managers and Senior Nurses.
  • As a Registered Nurse you must have level 1 registration and will be able to demonstrate an understanding of palliative care and the needs of patients with complex symptoms.
  • Applicants would preferably have palliative care / end of life care experience, but this is not essential as training is provided.

30% x your basic salary per hour paid for Saturdays & weekday night duty (8pm to 6am)

60% x your basic salary per hour paid for Sundays and Public Bank Holidays
