Location: Sunderland SR4

Salary: 19.36 per hour

Job Type: Part-time, Permanent

Shift Pattern: Weekends only (Saturday & Sunday, 24.5 hours, flexible)

We are a reputable nursing home in Sunderland, seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse (RGN) to join our dedicated clinical team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Staff Nurse looking for an excellent work-life balance, working every Saturday and Sunday.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Registered Nurse (RGN), you will play a pivotal role in providing high-quality clinical and personal care to our residents. Your duties will include:

Conducting comprehensive assessments and developing personalised care plans.
Managing and administering all medication roundswith precision and in accordance with NMC guidelines.
Providing skilled nursing care, including wound management, catheter care, and palliative support.
Working autonomously during day shifts, demonstrating strong decision-making skills without direct supervision.
Collaborating effectively with the Deputy Managerand multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest standards of care.
Supervising and supporting care assistants, promoting a positive and professional team environment.
Maintaining accurate and timely patient records in line with NMCstandards.
Upholding the dignity, privacy, and independence of all residents.
What We Are Looking For (Essential Criteria):

A valid NMC Pin(RGN qualification).
A minimum of 3 years of post-qualification experience as a Registered Nurse*.

Substantial and proven experience working within a nursing home or care homesetting.
Demonstrable competence in leading medication rounds*.

The ability to work independently, using initiative and managing your own workload effectively during weekend day shifts.
A genuine passion for elderly careand a compassionate, person-centred approach.
Excellent clinical knowledge and a commitment to evidence-based practice.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
