16-bed male long-term complex care unit
Edgbaston:
18-bed male long-term complex care unit
Highgate (opening soon):
23-bed male inpatient unit with recovery flats
Erdington:
8-bed residential step-down service
About the Role
As a
Mental Health Nurse
(RMN or RNLD), you will:
Deliver person-centred, evidence-based care to adults with severe and enduring mental health diagnoses
Work in a multidisciplinary team, providing clinical support to both service users and their carers
Use recognised tools and outcome measures to guide assessments, interventions, and recovery planning
Maintain accurate care planning and risk management aligned with NMC and local/national guidelines
Promote therapeutic relationships and maintain appropriate professional boundaries
Ensure safe practice in line with the Mental Health Act 1983/2007, Mental Capacity Act 2005, and safeguarding protocols
Requirements
NMC Registered Nurse (RMN or RNLD) or working towards registration
Knowledge of the Mental Health Act, Mental Capacity Act, CPA, and Clinical Governance
Experience in a mental health setting or desire to develop in this field
Strong communication, empathy, and team collaboration skills
Commitment to continued professional development
