Role Summary
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurses to join our nursing team. You will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating high-quality care for our residents, while providing clinical leadership and guidance to the wider care team. You will help to ensure that Dunwood Manor remains a safe, supportive and homely environment for people living with a range of nursing and dementia care needs.
Main Responsibilities
As a Registered Nurse, you will:
Assist with the comprehensive assessment of residents' nursing care needs and contribute to person-centred care planning.
Plan, deliver and evaluate individualised care and treatment plans in collaboration with residents, relatives and the wider multidisciplinary team.
Conduct and review risk assessments with due regard for the safety of residents, visitors and staff.
Lead and supervise care staff to ensure high standards of care, acting as a role model for best practice at all times.
Oversee safe custody, administration, dispensing and storage of medication in line with NMC and company policies.
Ensure care is delivered in accordance with residents' physical, psychological, social and spiritual needs.
Promote residents' independence, privacy, dignity and choice in all aspects of daily living.
Participate in staff supervision, appraisal, induction and mentoring of new or junior colleagues.
Work in accordance with the NMC Code of Professional Conduct and maintain all registration and revalidation requirements.
Contribute to clinical governance, quality assurance, audits and continuous improvement initiatives within the home.
Liaise effectively with GPs, external professionals, residents' families and other stakeholders to ensure coordinated care.
Maintain accurate, clear and timely clinical documentation in line with regulatory and organisational standards.
About You
You will be an enthusiastic, resilient and compassionate nurse who is committed to delivering excellent care in a nursing home environment.
Registered Nurse with a valid NMC PIN.
Evidence of ongoing Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
Previous experience in a nursing home or older adults' care setting (preferred).
Confident in clinical assessment, care planning, wound care and medication management.
Able to lead, motivate and support a team of carers, promoting a positive and inclusive culture.
Excellent communication skills with residents, families and colleagues, both verbally and in writing.
Well organised, with the ability to prioritise and respond effectively to changing clinical needs.
Committed to safeguarding, quality, safety and regulatory compliance.
Essential Qualifications and Requirements
Registered Nurse with current NMC registration.
Evidence of CPD and commitment to ongoing professional development.
