This Registered Nurse post offers a great opportunity for someone who is self-motivated and committed to continue to improve the services provided at Stibbs House, which is a respite service in St. George, Bristol. You will support people with learning disabilities, autism and mental health needs. All the guests we support live at home with families or carers and come to respite for short breaks, so we are looking for someone flexible to work a mixture of days, nights and weekends.
You will be a Named Nurse to a group of people we support and will be responsible for reviewing clinical care plans and risk assessments, and cascading information to the wider teams.
The successful candidate will have experience of supporting people in a social care setting and have a "can do" attitude, demonstrating optimism and motivation in your work, while inspiring others.
In addition, you will have excellent organisation skills and be able to take on ad-hoc projects and initiatives, which will include working with our partners on health promotion and maintenance.
Essentials for the role:
Registered Nurse with excellent clinical and organisational skills.
Passion for providing truly individualised care.
Previous experience of working with people with a learning disability in a CQC regulated service.
Able to demonstrate excellent communication skills.
Able to be a role model to staff, including supervising staff members and mentoring students.
Experience of developing and implementing person centred approaches.
Experience in a clinical environment.
Excellent self-management and team working skills
Experience of clinical governance.
