The successful applicant must possess a VALID and up to date NURSING qualification ( RGN, RNLD, RMN)
You must also have a strong communication skills which is essential in this role.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Registered Nurse will be expected to comply with the NMC Code of Professional Conduct at all time, supervise, support and develop a team of Care Workers to enable the delivery of high quality care in line with the identified needs and personal preferences of the Service Users. The post holder will be expected to act as a role model in the delivery of clinical, personal, social and emotional care. They will be expected to formally supervise care staff, to delegate tasks, and through the assessment of individual needs, produce appropriate and effective risk assessments and care plans. The post holder will also be required to monitor and safeguard the quality of service delivery and record keeping ensuring that they meet the requirements of the company's Policies and Procedures, The National Minimum Standards and Care Quality Commission Guidance. The RN will act as a named nurse for a group of Service Users and will regularly take charge of shifts as directed by the Deputy Manager/ Home Manager.
SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work within a team in a care home environment for the elderly
Act as a Nurse in charge by leading the staff team and delegate work effectively to junior staff
Ensure that all residents have full risk assessments and person centred care plans in place and that these are regularly reviewed and updated.
Carry out Nursing duties and associated with the role including wound dressings and management of PEG feeds
Take responsibility for medication administration
Promote resident independence and respect their dignity and choice
