The Client
Compass Associates are working with a private surgical hospital located in Birmingham in their search of an experienced Staff Nurse to join their wards department. The hospital has just had a large amount of investment and due to this expansion, has plenty of opportunities for you to further develop your clinical skills in a supportive environment. The hospital covers a wide range of surgical specialties including orthopaedics, general surgery, gynaecology and urology, cosmetics and more complex procedures such as cardiac, thoracic and cancer surgery.

The Candidate
Our client is happy to consider nurses from all backgrounds as they are able to offer full training and support. As a Registered Nurse, you\'ll work closely with the team providing care to patients following their surgical procedures, you will change surgical wound dressings where necessary, take out drain tubes and sutures from healed wounds, dispense tablets and deliver and intravenous and intramuscular injections required.

This is a full-time role consisting of 37.5 hours per week and you will be expected to work a flexible shift pattern covering a mixture of day and night shifts.

Requirements
\xe2\x80\x93 Fully qualified RGN ideally with 12 months post-registration experience
\xe2\x80\x93 Keen interest in surgical care
\xe2\x80\x93 Excellent communication skills
\xe2\x80\x93 Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team
\xe2\x80\x93 Resilient, willing to learn and able to work well under pressure
