We are looking for enthusiastic and proactive Registered Nursing Associate's to join the Hull 0-19 Public Health Nursing Service . You will work as part of the 0-19 workforce supporting Registered Health Visitors and School Nurses to deliver high quality, person centred, compassionate care to children, young people and their families.
The applicants will need to demonstrate the ability to work effectively as part of a team which strives to provide evidence based, person centred care, and actively encourage prevention of future health needs.
The post holder will have the opportunity to gain valuable clinical experience in the Hull 0-19 Public Health Nursing Service with structured supervision to enhance knowledge and skills for future development .
As a Registered Nursing Associate, you will work with a number of professionals, voluntary and community services (VCS) and specialist health systems including: Community Nurses, Specialist Nurses, Therapists, Health Care Assistants, social workers, mental health services as well as building and nurturing working relationships in the community to meet the needs of the children, young people and families you will be working with.
As a Registered Nursing Associate you will be expected to provide high quality, patient centred care to a varied caseload of children and young people 0-19 and their families. You will be able to communicate complex and sensitive information in the wider team. You will need to be able to contribute to developing care plans and reviewing and evaluating these plans to ensure appropriate and effective patient care.
You will carry out developmental reviews, group work activities, health promotion and health education programmes as delegated by members of the Specialist Public Health Nursing Team
You will support the Specialist Public Health Nurse's in the delivery of the Healthy Child Programme
You will provide 1:1 support to families as delegated by specialist public health nurses.
