Paediatric Nurse - Full Time (Days)

9am - 6.00pm (Mon-Fri)

48,100 p/a

We are recruiting a dedicated and compassionate Paediatric Nurse to join a well-established private clinical setting in Ascot, Berkshire. This is a full-time, permanent role offering the opportunity to work within a supportive, multi-disciplinary environment focused on delivering outstanding patient-centred care to children and their families.


The successful Paediatric Nurse will play a vital role in providing safe, effective, and high-quality nursing care, supporting patients from newborn through to adulthood while maintaining the highest clinical and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver comprehensive nursing care, including the implementation and evaluation of individualised care plans. Monitor vital signs and observe patient conditions, escalating concerns promptly to the medical team. Administer medications and treatments accurately in line with clinical protocols. Provide education, reassurance, emotional support, and follow-up care to children and families, including weekly follow-up calls where required. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in line with clinical governance and regulatory requirements. Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient care. Adhere to infection control, health & safety standards, and CQC compliance procedures. Support clinical audits, risk assessments, and quality assurance processes. Assist consultants during minor surgical procedures and consultations when required. Manage clinical stock levels, order consumables and vaccines, and maintain accurate inventory records.

Requirements:

Valid registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC). Proven experience in paediatric nursing, including paediatric phlebotomy. Must be a driver A compassionate, patient-focused approach to care. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary clinical team. Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail. Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends if required.
