We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated School Nurses with initiative and drive who are keen to contribute to the further development of our service. The successful applicants will work within the Hull 0-19 (25) Integrated Public Health Nursing Service (IPHNS).
You will need to have excellent communication skills, be very organised and be willing to facilitate and support change in service delivery. You will need to have the ability to work autonomously and as part of an integrated skill mix team.
Applicants are required to be committed to providing the best possible service to children, young people and families. They should demonstrate willingness to develop and maintain integrated services.
Student Specialist Community Public Health Nurses (SCPHN) (school nursing) are welcome to apply
To work as part of a team delivering the Healthy Child Programme (HCP) to the school aged population in Hull
To ensure the effective delivery of care packages to children, young
people and their families
To be responsible for the management of a caseload or client group
including compilation of reports and participation in multi-agency
safeguarding children's procedures
To participate in the supervision, leadership and management
responsibilities of the Public Health Nursing team.
To offer specialist advice in line with identified specialist areas (eg
Adolescent Mental Health, Sexual Health and Relationships)
To ensure safe and smooth transition for children from Primary or Junior School into Secondary school or where appropriate into Special School.
To carry out developmental reviews, group work activities, health promotion and health education programmes as delegated by members of the Public Health Nursing Team
