Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Band 5 Registered General Nurse to join our dedicated multidisciplinary team on our 24-bedded inpatient community ward in Henry Tudor Ward at St Marks Hospital, Maidenhead.



Our service provides high quality care for adult patients requiring rehabilitation, as well as those on frailty, sub-acute, and discharge-to-assess pathways. This is an excellent opportunity to develop a holistic understanding of community services, gaining experience across hospital-based care and wider community health and social care support, helping patients return safely to their preferred place of discharge.

You will work closely with Doctors, ANP's, Therapists, Pharmacists, Nursing staff and Support Workers to deliver safe, effective, and patient-centred care. This role involves a 24-hour shift pattern, covering days, nights, weekends and bank holidays. Join this collaborative team where your contributions are valued, and your growth is supported.



To promote and maintain a high standard of individualised care by actively contributing to the planning, delivery, and evaluation of care, ensuring that care plans are used effectively, adhered to, and updated as the patient's condition dictates.



To maintain a safe, welcoming environment for patients, relatives, visitors, and staff.



To demonstrate clinical decision-making skills, displaying evidence-based practice



To deliver patient care using a variety of clinical skills in line with competency framework.



To be actively involved in promoting self-care for patients and building health promotion into care as appropriate .

The "must haves" for this role:



Registered Nurse /Adult Nurse Trained with up-to-date NMC registration



To work bank holidays/weekends or unsocial hours to meet the needs of the service.



Reasonable level of fitness required .
