We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate RCVS Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in veterinary care and be passionate about providing support to both our animal patients and their owners. As a Veterinary Nurse, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the health and wellbeing of animals while assisting vets in various clinical procedures.
Responsibilities
Assist vets when required during examinations, surgeries, and other medical procedures.
Administer and dispense medications, vaccinations, and treatments as prescribed.
Monitor the health and behaviour of animals before, during, and after procedures.
Prepare animals for surgery and assist with anaesthesia monitoring, provide nursing care during and after procedures..
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
Run laboratory tests such as blood work and urinalysis when required.
Ensure that all equipment is properly sterilised and maintained in accordance with health regulations.
Skills
Registered Veterinary Nurse is essential for this role.
Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with pet owners and team members.
Able to run nurse clinics, monitor anaesthesia, Lab work.
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in record keeping.
Compassionate nature with a genuine love for animals and their care.
Team player who can collaborate effectively with colleagues while also being able to work independently when necessary. If you are passionate about animal care and possess the necessary skills this is the job for you.
