At Bedford Clapham, we're a friendly and hard-working team dedicated to delivering the highest standard of care to our animal patients.


The practice is led by our Branch Partner, an Advanced Practitioner in Small Animal Medicine, with a strong emphasis on handling complex medical cases and referrals.


We are a progressive and growing practice, supported by a loyal client base that values the personal attention and high level of care we provide. Our team consists of two veterinary surgeons, a Practice Manager, two RVNs, one PCA, and one VCA.


Our facilities include state-of-the-art equipment such as digital x-ray, a full ultrasound suite, and a dedicated theatre for surgeries. We also have a specialised imaging room and a dental machine to support comprehensive diagnostics and treatments. In addition, we work collaboratively with neighbouring practices, offering access to advanced diagnostic tools including MRI and CT scans, as well as orthopaedic surgery services.

This is a full-time position working 40 hours over 5 days, with Saturdays on a 1 in 6 rota from 9am to 1pm, though this may occasionally be 1 in 4.

Role Accountabilities

Exceptional care is at the heart of everything we do at Medivet. That's the care for our patients, our clients and for each other - we really want to make a positive difference through every interaction we have.


In this role you will:

Consistently deliver exceptional care to your clients. Support with surgeries and procedures, completing all pre and post procedure activity. Carry out nurse led appointments and schedule 3 activities. Deliver patient monitoring and care. Manage admissions and discharges as directed by the Veterinary team. If relevant: Complete patient transfers to out of hours or enhanced care. Dispense and check medication. Deliver professional excellence, complying with all regulatory, practice and operational standards. Hold briefings to engage and co-ordinate your team to support the most effective running of the practice.

Your Skills and Experience

RCVS registered Veterinary Nurse. Experience of delivering exceptional patient and client care. Experienced in working effectively as part of a team. Experience of supporting Nurse consults, with an understanding of how this contributes to practice performance and efficiency. Experienced in using coaching and influencing skills to get the best out of every colleague.
