Registered Veterinary Nurse
Job Description
An exciting opportunity is now available for a passionate and motivated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our friendly and welcoming team at Cardiff Newport Road Vets for Pets, a busy small animal practice.
Our purpose-built, fully equipped surgery enables us to deliver the highest standards of clinical care. You will be supported by a close-knit, collaborative team consisting of 5 Veterinary Surgeons, 6 Registered Veterinary Nurses, 2 Student Veterinary Nurses, a Practice Manager, and 2 Client Care Advisors.
In this role, you will be able to fully utilise your nursing skills, including patient admissions, monitoring anaesthesia, assisting with surgical procedures and recovery, and discharging patients. You will also be well supported by our Veterinary Care Assistants and Student Veterinary Nurses, who assist with patient preparation and theatre turnaround.
To succeed in this role, you will have solid general nursing experience, excellent customer service skills, and a positive, down-to-earth, and enthusiastic attitude, along with a genuine passion for animal welfare. Being a strong team player and being willing to support colleagues by covering holidays or other absences would be highly desirable.
This is a Full-Time position working 40 hours per week (details of shifts to be confirmed).
