Are you an experienced RVN looking for your next exciting opportunity in a busy, supportive, and progressive hospital? Medivet Dartford 24-Hour is offering a 12-month fixed-term contract where you'll be part of a dynamic team dedicated to delivering exceptional veterinary care around the clock.


Our Dartford hospital is a bustling hub of activity, supporting surrounding Medivet practices with emergency and complex cases. You'll have access to cutting-edge facilities including digital X-ray, ultrasound, an orthopaedic theatre, dedicated ICU, and a fully equipped in-house laboratory -- giving you everything you need to provide gold-standard care. Every day brings something new, from nurse consults and inpatient care to anaesthesia and theatre work, offering true variety and the chance to build on your clinical expertise.


You'll be working alongside a passionate and skilled team, including certificate-holding vets, experienced RVNs, and a supportive Head Nurse who values development and teamwork. Role Accountabilities

Exceptional care is at the heart of everything we do at Medivet. That's the care for our patients, our clients and for each other - we really want to make a positive difference through every interaction we have.


In this role you will:

Consistently deliver exceptional care to your clients. Support with surgeries and procedures, completing all pre and post procedure activity. Carry out nurse led appointments and schedule 3 activities. Deliver patient monitoring and care. Manage admissions and discharges as directed by the Veterinary team. If relevant: Complete patient transfers to out of hours or enhanced care. Dispense and check medication. Deliver professional excellence, complying with all regulatory, practice and operational standards. Hold briefings to engage and co-ordinate your team to support the most effective running of the practice.

Your Skills and Experience

RCVS registered Veterinary Nurse. Experience of delivering exceptional patient and client care. Experienced in working effectively as part of a team. Experience of supporting Nurse consults, with an understanding of how this contributes to practice performance and efficiency. Experienced in using coaching and influencing skills to get the best out of every colleague.
