Medivet Hull The Avenues is looking for an RVN to join their talented team.


You will work as part of our Nursing team utilising all of your surgical and medical nursing skills and conducting nurse clinics. We have a long-standing and friendly client base who appreciate the personal service we provide. You will be supported by our 2 Vet team and support/admin staff.


The refurbed practice is equipped with the latest facilities including in-house laboratory, operating theatre, ECG, Ultrasound and Xray.


We are offering this on a full-time basis of 40 hours over 5 days per week (either 08.00 -1700 or 09:00 - 18:00 rota pattern) and 1 in 6 Saturday (either 08.00 -1700 or 09:00 - 18:00).

Role Accountabilities

In this role you will:

Consistently deliver exceptional care to your clients. Support with surgeries and procedures, completing all pre and post procedure activity. Carry out nurse led appointments and schedule 3 activities. Deliver patient monitoring and care. Manage admissions and discharges as directed by the Veterinary team. Complete patient transfers to out of hours or enhanced care. Dispense and check medication. Deliver professional excellence, complying with all regulatory, practice and operational standards. Hold briefings to engage and co-ordinate your team to support the most effective running of the practice.

Skills and Experience

RCVS registered Veterinary Nurse. Experience of delivering exceptional patient and client care. Experienced in working effectively as part of a team. Experience of supporting Nurse consults, with an understanding of how this contributes to practice performance and efficiency. Experienced in using coaching and influencing skills to get the best out of every colleague.
