We have an exciting, unique opportunity for a proactive and passionate Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our welcoming and well-established team at Medivet Canonbury.


We have everything we need to provide exceptional care including ultrasound, digital and dental x-ray, endoscope and in-house lab - you'll also have access to VVS station in a nearby clinic so you can develop your imaging, under the guidance and support of a specialist.


The clinic has a large, welcoming reception space, both separate cat and dog wards, four consult rooms, prep and theatre. We have a 5-vet team, qualified nurse and students, front of house team and support from our Practice Manager, so you can really focus on doing what you enjoy. All that's missing is you!


The clinic is situated near to Highbury & Islington Station and Essex Road for the Great Northern Line. Our address is Medivet Canonbury, 226-228 Essex Road London Greater London N1 3AP

Role Accountabilities

Exceptional care is at the heart of everything we do at Medivet. That's the care for our patients, our clients and for each other - we really want to make a positive difference through every interaction we have.

In this role you will:

Consistently deliver exceptional care to your clients. Support with surgeries and procedures, completing all pre and post procedure activity. Carry out nurse led appointments and schedule 3 activities. Deliver patient monitoring and care. Manage admissions and discharges as directed by the Veterinary team. Complete patient transfers to out of hours or enhanced care. Dispense and check medication. Deliver professional excellence, complying with all regulatory, practice and operational standards. Hold briefings to engage and co-ordinate your team to support the most effective running of the practice.

Your Skills and Experience

RCVS registered Veterinary Nurse. Experience of delivering exceptional patient and client care. Experienced in working effectively as part of a team. Experience of supporting Nurse consults, with an understanding of how this contributes to practice performance and efficiency. Experienced in using coaching and influencing skills to get the best out of every colleague.
