Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Head Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our friendly team at Medivet Stroud Green!


The practice is well equipped with a single consult room, x-rays, dental x-rays, ultrasound etc and is a one vet practice, well supported by a CCA, and two SVNs. It is also just a short walk from our Finsbury Park practice.


You will be required to be a clinical coach.


This is a full time permanent opportunity, working a 40 hour week!.

Role Accountabilities

In this role you will:

Provide clinical leadership to the nursing team. Consistently deliver exceptional care to your clients. Support with surgeries and procedures, completing all pre and post procedure activity. Lead, manage and promote nurse led appointments and Schedule 3 surgeries. Deliver patient monitoring and care. Manage admissions and discharges as directed by the Veterinary team. Complete patient transfers to out of hours or enhanced care. Dispense and check medication. Deliver professional excellence, implementing and complying with all regulatory, practice and operational standards. Inspire your team, sharing new or evolving practice standards and changes to processes. Engage, coach and develop your team. Pro-actively support and share clinical best practice across practices and the wider Medivet community.

Your Skills and Experience

RCVS registered Veterinary Nurse. Experience of delivering exceptional patient and client care. Able to confidently lead a clinical team. Experience of implementing a progressive clinical culture through nurse clinics and nurse consultations. Experienced in using coaching and influencing skills to get the best out of every colleague.
